About the destination

The city of Santa Marta, is officially a district tourist, Cultural and historic at the same time the capital of the Department of Magdalena and one of the regions most important in the Caribbean after Barranquilla and Cartagena. The city of Santa Marta used as tourist slogan "the magic of having it all" because it makes more than a hundred beaches and a snowy mountains. This city, located in the Bay of the same name, is one of the main destinations of the Colombian Caribbean. Its location between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, with the higher peaks of the country, and the Caribbean Sea, they make attractive to visit the variety of fauna and flora that exist in the area, as well as cultural and historical sites that the city has. Makes the target a place with lots of activity throughout the year, both in the high summer season, and in the winter season. But in addition the city is the second oldest of South America, has a unique architectural heritage which already makes the city a tourist destination worth visiting at any time of the year.
