EXPLORE GALAPAGOS: FAUNA AND WONDERS

Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, a guide will be waiting to welcome you. You will board a bus and then take a short ferry ride to cross from Baltra to Santa Cruz Island, a large island known for its diverse climates, ecosystems, and contrasting landscapes. Along the way, we will stop in the lush highlands to visit a ranch where giant tortoises roam freely in the wild. You will also have the opportunity to explore an impressive lava tunnel. Lunch will be served at the ranch before continuing by private land transport to Puerto Ayora, where you will spend the night.

NOTE: Please remember that fruits, vegetables, and seeds are not allowed in your luggage due to the strict biosecurity regulations of the islands.

Half-Day Private Tour to Tortuga Bay with Lunch (Start time: 8:00 a.m., Duration: 5 hours): Depart from your hotel with a certified naturalist guide and take a taxi to the entrance of Tortuga Bay Beach. From there, enjoy a 3 km walk along a scenic trail surrounded by giant endemic cactus known as Opuntia. Tortuga Bay is divided into two sections, and the far end of the beach is the only recommended area for swimming. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to observe marine iguanas sunbathing and occasionally young sharks near the shore. After the visit, return to the hotel via the same trail. Lunch will be served after the tour.

Full-Day Tour to the Charles Darwin Station and Tortuga Bay with Lunch (Start time: 8:00 a.m., Duration: 8 hours): Your certified naturalist guide will pick you up to visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where scientists work to study and preserve the unique ecosystems of the Galápagos Islands. Here, you’ll also follow the "Turtle Route" and see the remains of the legendary Lonesome George, the last known individual of his species. Lunch is included. In the afternoon, continue to Tortuga Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago. To reach it, enjoy a scenic 3 km walk (each way) through a giant Opuntia cactus forest, home to a variety of native wildlife.

Today you will explore one of the beautiful uninhabited islands near Santa Cruz. From your hotel, our staff will assist you in departing to begin the tour. First, you will take a bus to the Itabaca Channel, where you will board a yacht and sail to the selected island. Depending on availability and the day of the week, as departures are regulated by the Galápagos National Park to protect each site, you may visit Santa Fe, Plazas, Bartolomé, or North Seymour.

The excursion includes a guided walk to observe the island’s unique flora and fauna, as well as a snorkeling session to discover the underwater wildlife. All activities are led by a certified naturalist guide. You will return to the hotel at the end of the afternoon.

The sailing time varies depending on the island visited; detailed information will be provided upon booking.

Four hours before your flight, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the Itabaca Channel, located approximately 45 km from the port. Cross the channel by boat (10 minutes) and continue by bus (approximately 15 minutes) to Baltra Airport. Our driver will take you to the airport for your return flight. (Flight not included).
